Vehicles for Change Welcomes Bank of America's Tysheba Morgan, MBA, to its Board of Directors
Baltimore-based nonprofit, Vehicles for Change, Inc. (VFC), welcomes Tysheba Morgan, MBA, Bank of America's senior vice president of financial controls and governance to its board of directors.
HALETHORPE, Md., Aug. 25, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Baltimore-based nonprofit, Vehicles for Change, Inc. (VFC), welcomes Tysheba Morgan, MBA, Bank of America's senior vice president of financial controls and governance to its board of directors. She joins nine other VFC board members dedicated to fulfilling the organization's mission to empower families and individuals with financial challenges to achieve economic and personal independence through car ownership and technical training.
Morgan brings more than twenty years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, operational risk management, audit and controls. In her current position with Bank of America, Morgan is responsible for ensuring compliance, assessing risks, evaluating remediation progress and gathering other critical insights on business activities related to the financial institution's financial controls and governance. She looks forward to leveraging her innovative problem-solving techniques to help make a difference for those served by VFC who are cyclically burdened by generational poverty.

Throughout her career, Morgan has worked at a number of Fortune 100 and 500 organizations, including Exelon Corporation in Baltimore, Md., where she served as the senior accounting manager in the generation and wholesale commodities business. She started her career at the Dow Chemical Company serving in positions of increasing responsibility in internal audit, finance, and accounting.

Morgan also serves as director of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc., where she chairs the student member services committee. She has also held titles as Baltimore Chapter President and Eastern Region Student Conference Co-Chair. Morgan earned both her post-graduate and undergraduate degrees of business administration in finance from Howard University in Washington, DC. She also became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) while working in the profession.
