Wilmington City Council elections are November 2, 2021

Jonathan Uzcategui is running for city council in the November 2nd elections in Wilmington North Carolina.

The freedoms and opportunities that brought me to this great nation are under attack. We need strong leaders now more than ever, and I am honored to rise to the occasion.

Jonathan Uzcategui, an American citizen born and raised in Venezuela who is passionate about preserving our freedoms and liberty, this week announced his run for Wilmington City Council.

“I am running for council because I believe it’s critically important to stand up to the same radical ideologies that I saw destroy Venezuela while growing up,” said Jonathan. “I will not be a bystander and watch as the country and city I love are destroyed by socialist and communist ideologies.”

Jonathan is committed to balancing the budget, reducing the tax burden, protecting our small businesses, serving our community, improving quality of life and ensuring our government is working for the citizens of our great city.

“The freedoms and opportunities that brought me to this great nation are under attack. We need strong leaders now more than ever, and I am honored to rise to the occasion,” said Jonathan.

Jonathan concluded by stating that the backbone of Wilmington is their small businesses, which is why he will do everything in his power to promote free enterprise systems that support these businesses. This support will include encouraging women-owned and minority-owned businesses that lend themselves to healthy competition and organic growth.

“I am a leader who will not back down when the opposition arises, upholding the Constitution and principles of this great nation,” concluded Jonathan. “My name is Jonathan Uzcategui, and I am running for city council in Wilmington, North Carolina.”
