This annual black-tie event brings military heroes and their loved ones, veterans, corporations and prominent members of the Washington, D.C. community who support our uniformed men and women together for a commemorative evening. This year's Heroes Gala will highlight the organization's four major programs and also includes a post-gala reception. The fundraiser will highlight four families' journey to recovery, along with dinner, music, dancing and a Live Silent Auction. Luke's Wings will feature the organization's four major programs including the Luke's Wings Wounded Warrior Transportation Assistance Program that serves those wounded in combat with complimentary airfare for loved ones to be present throughout recovery. The event will also highlight three additional supporting programs that are dedicated to the Special Operations community, Veteran's In Hospice Care and service members battling life-threatening illnesses such as cancer.
The 2019 Live Silent Auction features unique items including a World War 2 B-25 Bomber flight experience aboard Panchito, one of the 32 remaining B-25s in the world. Guests and the public can also bid on a Gretsch Rancher Guitar signed by country music stars Lee Brice and the Turnpike Troubadors.
