The annual Windstorm Insurance Conference (WIND) is a three-day conference for the property insurance claims industry. WIND's mission is to provide professional development and networking opportunities to bring together defense and policyholder representatives to better connect, learn, and engage to advance and improve the industry. The WIND Conference offers property and insurance claims professionals the opportunity to learn about the most up-to-date industry technology and developments. The conference includes breakout sessions, CE/CLE credits and networking events with industry leaders. Attendees include restoration professionals, contractors, claims adjusters, staff and company adjusters, engineers, underwriters, attorneys, and forensic accountants.

Event proceeds benefit the WIND Scholarship Fund which helps students at Florida State University's Department of Risk and Insurance Management/Insurance program with their educational pursuits to become a property insurance claims professional. The 2019 scholarship recipient was Michael Ramsey. Ramsey maintains a 4.0 GPA while working on a double major in both Risk Management and Actuarial Science.
VCGFL sponsored the 2019 Keynote Speaker, Jack Hanna. Hanna, named "Celebrity Animal Activist", created three nationally televised programs.
