Venture Construction Group Supports Nation’s Wounded Warriors and Their Families
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) July 07, 2016 -- Venture Construction Group was a 2016 Silver Hole Sponsor at the Luke’s Wings 5th Annual Heroes Pro-Am Heroes Golf Classic Tournament. Luke’s Wings is dedicated to helping service members connect with their families while they’re recovering from battle. Luke’s Wings raised over $70,000 at the annual fundraiser, and over 100 attendees teed up to support our nation’s wounded warriors and their families, including seven Luke’s Wings beneficiaries participating in the tournament.
A unique highlight of the 2016 Heroes Pro-Am Heroes Golf Classic Tournament included tips and a Q&A with PGA pro Charlie Hoffman. The tournament also provided a one-on-one clinic with the pros. The event was held on June 20th at the Woodmont Country Club at 1201 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland, 20852.

Luke’s Wings was founded in 2008 by a group of young people who observed the struggles of the nation’s wounded warriors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Luke’s Wings was named after two people, Luke Shirley (a wounded warrior at Walter Reed who lost an arm and a leg in an IED blast) and Sarah Wingfield, a Redskins Cheerleader Ambassador who was visiting the troops at Walter Reed.
