SEATTLE, Feb. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Vera Whole Health has appointed Kevin Wang, M.D., as its new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Wang will use the last 16 plus years of his experience to support the expansion of Vera's advanced primary care model through direct-to-employer on-site clinics.
Dr. Wang will lead Vera's Quality and Provider teams, designing models of care for targeted populations that improve health outcomes and drive down total cost of care. His experience will enable Vera to perform at the cutting edge of therapeutic, diagnostic and process innovation.

In selecting Dr. Wang as its CMO, Vera leadership looked for a proven top-level executive who is both credibly independent and clinically accomplished. Dr. Wang's credentials demonstrate the ability to maintain a highly responsible corporate culture of medical and scientific rigor and ethical behavior. He has served in leadership positions with DaVita Medical Group, Evolent Health, and Huron Consulting Group.

Dr. Wang's training was in the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System an affiliate of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from New York Medical College.
