VERNON, N.J., Oct. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Vernon will shine even brighter this fall and winter seasons with the Vernon Lights Festival. The new attraction opens November 15th and is billed among the largest Lantern Arts Festivals in North America. A Hello Panda Festivals' production, the Vernon lights festival is the largest of its kind in New Jersey, and features a walk-through wonderland experience, showcasing massive lanterns and multi-sensory exhibits.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, November 1st and will be available through Eventbrite and Goldstar ticketing platforms. Ticket prices are: $15.99 for children and seniors, and $19.99 for adults. The festival officially opens to the public on November 15th and will extend through January 5th. It is designed to inspire imagination with huge handcrafted lantern exhibits, live entertainment and interactive experiences throughout the festival.
Lights, food, interactive displays and music will support the family friendly event for children of all ages. The festival celebrates the fine art or Chinese lantern making with magical displays of light and color. Other attractions include cultural performances, craft pavilions, community and outreach tents, and locally sourced food trucks.
Produced by Glenwood Lake Arts Park and CPAA North America, this year's festival will be the first of an ongoing annual tradition hosted by Hello Panda Festivals. The Vernon Lights Festival event is the first of its kind at this venue located at the former Camp Sussex grounds in the Glenwood Lake Area of Vernon. "We purchased the 96-acre parcel in 2015 for the purpose of creating Glenwood Lake Arts Park. The Vernon Lights Festival is the first of many events and initiatives with focus on cultural diversity, the community and the arts. The new Glenwood Lake Arts Park grounds are located on Glenwood Road / Route 565 in the Glenwood lake area of Vernon, NJ. The location consists of 96-acres and will be the future home of the largest arts and cultural center, music festival site and performance venue in Sussex County, NJ. Prior to 2005, the location was utilized as Camp Sussex, operated for more than 85 years by a nonprofit foundation out of New York City, the Brooklyn Children's Fresh Air Camp Association.
