New membership network combines nationwide wireless service with a mission to strengthen connection and community among veterans and military-connected Americans
SLOCOMB, Ala., Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Two former U.S. Army aviators whose post-service careers led one into veteran mental health advocacy and the other into technology entrepreneurship today launched CallSign Mobile, a veteran-founded membership network for the service-connected community, delivered through a wireless subscription.
Co-founders Adam Marr and Charlie Hill first met at Fort Rucker, Alabama, in Army aviation training. They later served together at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana, where for two years they shared a cockpit and briefing duties while preparing attack and reconnaissance units for training and evaluation before deployment. After leaving the Army, their paths diverged.
Marr, a former AH-64 Apache attack pilot, spent much of the next decade working in veteran mental health, advocacy, and policy. He currently serves as Director of Operations for the Veteran Mental Health Leadership Coalition, a coalition of more than 50 organizations, and has testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs about access to emerging mental health treatments for veterans. He also co-hosts the American Legion's national Tango Alpha Lima podcast.
Hill, a former Kiowa Warrior pilot and electrical engineer, moved into technology and product development. Following his MBA at Columbia University, he helped build and scale smart-building technology company STRATIS as Chief Product Officer through its acquisition by RealPage and later cofounded consumer technology company Harbor.
CallSign brings those two paths back together around a shared question: how can veterans maintain the sense of connection, purpose, and trusted community that military service often provides?
"We're not asking anyone to stop being a quiet professional. We're saying the next version of it is to grow into a connected professional," said Marr, co-founder and CEO of CallSign Mobile. "Service doesn't end when the uniform comes off. What service members lose is connection to a mission and a purpose, and the people to pursue it alongside."
Building impact into the business
From the first day of service, CallSign sets aside $1 per line per month for the Signal Impact Fund, which will support work across the veteran community related to healing, connection, and meaningful post-service growth.
CallSign's founders say the company is intended to speak to veterans and military-connected people not as a consumer demographic, but as a community shaped by service, leadership, responsibility and shared experience.
Every member receives a "call sign," a concept drawn from military communications that carries identity, reputation, and recognition within a trusted network. The approach reflects CallSign's philosophy: that entrepreneurship can be a continuation of service, but mission-driven companies still have to earn trust through what they build and how they operate.
"Being veteran-founded may get someone's attention, but it doesn't earn their business," said Hill, co-founder of CallSign Mobile. "CallSign has to compete as a wireless company first, with a quality product and competitive pricing, while making sure the mission is authentic and transparent. If we can earn trust on both fronts, we have an opportunity to turn a service people already need into a lasting engine for giving back to the veteran community."
A membership network delivered through wireless
CallSign operates as a direct-to-consumer wireless service, offering a premium subscription on one of the three major U.S. networks with nationwide 5G.
The service is powered by MobileX, which provides the wireless technology behind CallSign Mobile. MobileX Founder and CEO Peter Adderton also serves as an advisor to CallSign, bringing decades of wireless industry experience to support the company's strategy and growth. Adderton previously founded Boost Mobile and built it into one of the category's defining prepaid brands before later founding MobileX.
"CallSign has an authentic opportunity to build something different: a wireless experience built around a real community, with an audience and mission that are uniquely its own," said Adderton. "We believe in what CallSign is building for veterans, and MobileX has the technology and wireless experience to help bring that vision to life. This is about using mobile service to strengthen a community and support a mission that can have a real impact."
CallSign Mobile is available starting today. More information about membership, pricing, and wireless service is available at callsignmobile.com.
