The National Financial Educators Council is providing their Military Financial Literacy Program complimentary to groups that serve our active duty soldiers and veterans in honor of Veterans Day.

The NFEC’s American Dream Movement provides complimentary financial education resources to organizations that currently serve veterans and active duty military personnel. The resources and training are provided complimentary, with the objective of reaching over a hundred thousand veterans and active duty soldiers with the military financial literacy program.

The NFECs’ American Dream Movement, provides comprehensive financial education resources at no cost to organizations that currently serve our military members and veterans. The Military Financial Literacy Program includes a two-day financial literacy program that can be broken down into shorter coursework. This includes PowerPoint presentations, testing, surveys, student guides, a multi-media learning center and financial educator training.

The NFEC provided complimentary military money skills workshops to veterans in the Southern California area. In addition to the workshop, each veteran in attendance received a one-on-one consulting to address specific issues they may be facing. A past graduate of the course stated, “I thought the information was very practical, relevant, it was easy to understand.”

The NFECs’ Military Financial Literacy Program teaches our veterans and active duty soldiers practical financial literacy topics that range from debt management to retirement planning. The goal is to provide them the ‘military money skills’ needed to avoid common financial pitfalls and help them improve their financial capability.

“Providing the military financial literacy curriculum complimentary to those groups that serve our soldiers and veterans is the least we can do to show our appreciation for the sacrifices they have made,” states Cecile Abad, Community Outreach Director of the NFEC.

Organizations that want to share the program with those they serve can complete the brief military financial literacy program application. To qualify, organizations must currently be serving our active duty military or veterans and be committed to spreading the word about improving the financial capability of those they serve.

The NFEC also provides detailed training so volunteers can teach personal finance lessons effectively. The financial literacy certification training is practical in nature and gradates receive the NFEC’s Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) status in addition to the curriculum and resources that will help our veterans and soldiers prepare them for the financial realities of today’s age.

The National Financial Educators Council is a social enterprise that has partnered with or served hundreds of non-profit organizations and schools. The American Dream Movement is a nationwide initiative to provide financial literacy resources to groups looking to improve the financial capability of those they serve. The NFEC commends those individuals and organizations that are currently serving our active duty military personnel and veterans.
