Vetta, LLC Receives Fair Labor Association Accreditation

NORMAN, Okla., Nov. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Vetta, LLC, an expert and industry leader in licensed and wholesale blank apparel, has received accreditation by the Fair Labor Association in recognition of Vetta's commitment to workplace standards and workers' rights.
At the FLA's October Board of Directors meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the FLA Board voted to accredit Vetta after an extensive review of Vetta's leadership commitment to social responsibility, supply chain, business processes and standards, worker and CSO engagement, training programs and independent factory monitoring, spanning both the Top of the World licensed division and the J. America wholesale blanks division. Vetta now becomes one of only 33 companies worldwide to achieve the highest level of FLA affiliation.
"I am pleased to recognize Vetta Brands for its commitment to human rights compliance and social responsibility in its supply chain with accreditation by the Fair Labor Association," said Sharon Waxman, FLA President and CEO. "Our extensive, multi-year review of Vetta Brands' business practices against FLA standards and principles identified staff training and worker engagement programs as standout elements of Vetta's program. Also, we applaud Vetta's use of a supplemental supply chain audit to promote its standards worldwide."
Though Vetta's journey towards accreditation began in February 2017, shortly after the announced merger of Top of the World and J. America, Vetta's companies have a track record of commitment to social responsibility and the FLA. Prior to the merger, both were Participating Companies within the FLA, and Top of the World had achieved accreditation in 2012.
"I am incredibly proud of our team and our company for achieving this goal, and we appreciate the FLA's support and guidance as we've gone through the accreditation process," said CEO, Vetta Glenn Silbert. "Protecting workers' rights and improving working conditions globally sit at the core of our values at Vetta Brands. While this is a major milestone in our companies history, we understand the importance of continuous improvement and pushing ourselves and the industry to be better every day."
