VetToCEO and StreetShares Announce Grant Competition for US Special Operations Entrepreneurs
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 12, 2015 -- Today VetToCEO announced a special $5,000 grant award for a business plan competition for US Special Operations veteran entrepreneurs. The grant is made possible through the generous support of StreetShares. This grant will be awarded to one of the 32 current enrollees in the VetToCEO Core Entrepreneurship eight week program held in support of the USSOCOM Care Coalition. The recipient of the grant will be announced in February.
The VetToCEO core, 8-week group-based online program in entrepreneurship is free and offered exclusively to veterans and transitioning members of the military. The webinar-based program enables veterans to construct a viable business plan based on the military planning model. The program also leverages the innovative GUST platform to assist participants in creating their business plans and more importantly, seeking funding sources for their businesses.
StreetShares, a veteran-run and veteran-focused small business lender, is proud to partner with VetToCEO and the USSOCOM Care Coalition for this competition and grant award. VetToCEO and StreetShares recently formed a strategic partnership to bring full circle the training for military entrepreneurs from ideation to launch to operations with the addition of access to capital.
