TORONTO, Feb. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Victoria, a member of the rising pop supergroup Girl Pow-R, recently recorded a cover of Ariana Grande's "ghostin".
Despite having previously recorded covers with a backing track, Victoria decided to perform "ghostin" acapella.
"I have done many covers with a backing track and decided this time I wanted to try doing something different," said Victoria. "I first recorded this at home and really enjoyed the unique sound of it. So I took it up in the studio with James Nickel at Cleveland Sound Lab and achieved what I had set out to do."
"At the age of 12 years old, I had the opportunity to write and record my first original single, "You're Worth It", said Victoria. "From there I was able to expand my knowledge in music production and improve my songwriting skills. This opportunity showed me that music really allows me to express myself and share it with the world."
Girl Pow-R, which consists of girls ages 11 to 17, has had a successful few years since its inception on International Women's Day in 2017, having already performed more than 200 shows and receiving nominations for Niagara Music Awards' "Best New Group" and a Toronto Independent Music Award.
Girl Pow-R is represented by Canyon Entertainment Group, an Ontario-based management company and independent record label.
