Vida Health, a personalized virtual care platform for physical and behavioral health, today announced the launch of Habits, a machine-learning driven experience that delivers personalized recommendations and reminders. Alongside this launch, Vida is unveiling its new Sleep Health program.

Habits is now integrated across all of Vida's program offerings, including their new Sleep Health program. The experience is powered by Vida's advanced machine learning systems that adapt to a member's unique behavior change obstacles and guide them toward meaningful improvements in health. Lifestyle choices, ranging from sleep patterns to food selection to responses to everyday stress, have been shown to have outsized effects on the development of chronic disease and remain one of the key barriers to wellness. Habits offers an evidence-based model for creating new, sustainable behavioral “loops” capable of reversing chronic disease, avoiding complications, and improving population health.

Vida's machine learning systems use members' unique data signals to deliver personalized habit recommendations. As members engage with Habits, Vida automatically tailors digital interventions and couples them with the personal touch of a health coach or licensed therapist.

Habits is fully integrated into the new Sleep Health program, coinciding with Sleep Awareness Month. The 8-week core program is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) methodologies and insights from the company’s programs focused on depression and anxiety. Vida is targeting a 25% improvement in sleep quality for members.

In Sleep Health, Habits will feature integrated content experiences on sleep-improving topics such as wind-down routines, managing screen time, and the effects of food and drinks on sleep. Additionally, through the Vida app, members have the ability to track and analyze related behaviors using connected devices (eg, healthy eating, caffeine, water, activity).
