FORT DODGE, Iowa, July 29, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance continues to showcase the diversity of organizations and businesses in the region with its series of ten videos. The fourth video in the series highlights the partnerships that have been established between businesses in the community. These partnerships provide opportunities for non-profits like Fort Dodge Fine Arts to grow and thrive. They also help to create a more diverse and vibrant community. By highlighting these partnerships, the Growth Alliance is demonstrating its commitment to helping businesses succeed and to making Fort Dodge a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
The Fine Arts Association of Fort Dodge has been a staple in the community for many years, promoting the arts and offering opportunities for both established and emerging artists. Today, the organization is stronger than ever, thanks to its partnerships with local businesses, schools, and Iowa Central Community College. Shelly Bottorff, Executive Director of the Fine Arts Association, discusses in the videos how these partnerships help to promote the arts throughout the community.
An example is that several restaurants in town feature rotating artwork from local artists and musicians, giving them an opportunity to share their work with a wider audience. The Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association also offers various art, vocal and acting opportunities to area students and hosts a variety of events throughout the year, bringing the community together through the arts. With such a strong commitment to diversity and opportunity, it's no wonder that the Fine Arts Association of Fort Dodge is thriving.
"The one thing that I really appreciate about Shelly is, that everything she does is focused on partnerships and at the Growth Alliance one of our keywords is collaboration and she lives and breaths that as well. She talks about how economic development is a key component to community growth and success but also recreation and fine arts. We all need to understand how all of that has to work together. Each piece has to be successful to have community growth and success." comments Jill Nelson, Community Development Director with the GFDGA.
Lydia Schurr, Communication Specialist at GFDGA talks about the key benefits of the FDFA. "Shelly is great with partnering with the different kinds of arts we have in this community. We have people who create art whether it is painting or sculpture, We have people that are musically talented, people who act on a stage so she is really great at promoting all of that and partnering with them."
Diversity is one of the key aspects that makes Fort Dodge a great place to live. The community offers a wide variety of opportunities for residents, from quality schools to community colleges and universities. This diversity is also reflected in the Fine Arts scene, which offers a wide range of options for residents to enjoy. The Fine Arts are an integral part of the community and provide a unique opportunity for businesses to connect with their customers. By offering a wide range of options, the Fine Arts scene helps to ensure that there is something for everyone in the community. This diversity is one of the key factors that make Fort Dodge a great place to call home.
