One of the web's leading all-remote job boards is shining a light on 15 international employers actively hiring U.S.-based remote workers.
TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 28, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Virtual Vocations marked World Tourism Day with the release of a new report shining a light on 15 international companies that aren't letting location serve as a barrier to recruiting top talent.
In addition to naming the 15 best international employers actively hiring U.S.-based remote workers, the new report from the all-remote job board shares links to each employer's dedicated profile on the Virtual Vocations company database, where jobseekers can learn more about current job openings.
The report was published Tuesday in conjunction with World Tourism Day, an annual initiative celebrating tourism and its contributions to promoting peace and preserving cultural heritage.
This year, the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) announced the global event would "focus on the future," a nod to the UNWTO's goal of encouraging a sustainable, inclusive vision for rethinking tourism.
It's a mission complemented by a recent increase in the popularity of remote work options, according to Virtual Vocations CEO and co-founder Laura Spawn. "The flexible nature of remote work promotes both sustainability and inclusivity," Spawn said.
"Telework not only reduces carbon emissions and decreases paper and plastic use but also eliminates geographic hiring barriers and opens more doors for minority groups, including those marginalized by race, ethnicity, gender, and ability, to access a wider selection of careers," Spawn added. "This flexibility also creates greater opportunities for professionals to travel while earning a living and simultaneously furthering their careers."
The 15 remote-enabled employers featured in Virtual Vocations' Tuesday report are headquartered in eight different countries across four continents and span half a dozen industries, including information technology (IT), internet and ecommerce, business services, and marketing.
Among them, three companies—Craftybase, headquartered in Ballarat Central, Australia; NearForm, headquartered in Waterford, Ireland; and Orium, headquartered in Toronto, Canada—are 100% virtual or remote-first businesses, meaning their employees work remotely all of the time or have the freedom to choose how and where they work.
For U.S.-based jobseekers eager for more flexibility at work, the report serves as a roadmap to remote job options with more than a dozen location-flexible employers actively looking for qualified candidates to fill their current openings.
