TUSCON, Ariz., Sept. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Take your remote job search to the next level this Remote Work Education Week, Sept. 9-13, 2019. Virtual Vocations, the web's largest hand-screened, all-telecommute job board, has partnered with telework education platform Workplaceless to bring a new option for professional development to remote jobseekers.
The Remote Work Certification course prepares jobseekers for the rigors of working independently in a remote setting. The course seeks to provide jobseekers with the skills they need to succeed in a remote role, including:
- How to manage a remote workday schedule, including using the best practices and online tools for time management;
- How to effectively communicate in a remote work environment;
- How to work independently while optimizing professional relationships with virtual colleagues; and
- How to safeguard personal and employers' data when working online.
The self-paced course also includes interactive e-learning modules, downloadable worksheets, and access to exclusive bonus materials from Virtual Vocations, and it features practice assignments and examinations designed to allow course instructors to assess your strengths and provide unique, personalized feedback.
"One of our goals at Virtual Vocations is to help jobseekers with resources and education on all aspects of remote work," said Virtual Vocations CEO Laura Spawn. "We feel that this partnership will provide those who are interested in working remotely, or who currently do work remotely but may need additional help in managing certain areas of their workday, access to a beneficial resource for honing their skills."
Those who successfully complete the course will be presented with a resumé-boosting digital certificate and badge acknowledging the accomplishment.
Virtual Vocations will also be marking Remote Work Education Week with giveaways, can't-beat discounts on resumé services, and exclusive new content on topics like virtual volunteering, online skills training, and remote work internships. Jobseekers interested in improving their resumés can also join Virtual Vocations Customer and Career Services Division Manager Holly Leyva for a live Q&A session on LinkedIn on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. CT.
In addition, the new Remote Work Certification course is available at a discounted rate during Remote Work Education Week to the first 30 who sign up using the promo code: VVEDUCATE
