TUCSON, Ariz., June 22, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- One of the web's leading remote job boards is putting the spotlight on remote enabled businesses featured on TIME magazine's inaugural list of most influential companies around the world.
Founded in 2007 by CEO Laura Spawn and CTO Adam Stevenson, Virtual Vocations has helped connect jobseekers with legitimate remote jobs from expert-vetted employers for the last 14 years.
In April 2021, TIME unveiled its new TIME100 Most Influential Companies list to honor businesses that have made an "extraordinary impact" across the globe. Expanding on the TIME100 franchise that also includes TIME's buzzworthy "Most Influential People" list, the new rankings quickly caught the eye of the Virtual Vocations team, who took a deep dive to uncover which employers highlighted by the magazine may be worth a closer look for jobseekers seeking to work from home.
For its latest report, Virtual Vocations compared the new list of TIME100 Most Influential Companies to its own massive Remote Companies Database, which comprises more than 6,000 researched profiles of businesses that consistently offer remote work options.
Virtual Vocations' analysis found that more than half of TIME's Most Influential Companies—54 out of 100—actively seek out remote talent.
Among them are organizations old and new that were recognized by TIME as pioneers, leaders, innovators, titans, or disruptors within the business space. Employers like Bumble, Oatly, Beyond Meat, and Strava all made both the TIME and Virtual Vocations lists as pioneers in business that also embrace working from home.
Meanwhile, organizations like Spotify, Stripe, and Zoom were labeled innovators who met TIME's criteria in areas like innovation, success, relevance, ambition, and impact while also promoting flexible work arrangements for their employees.
Remote enabled companies like Pfizer, Mattel, and Johnson & Johnson were seen as leaders, while titans included remote-friendly employers like General Motors and Coinbase—a strong indication that across all industries, remote work is here to stay.
