Visual Story Network Announces Innovative Conference for Christian Leaders
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 20, 2014 -- The Visual Story Network announces a unique conference to take their expertise in storytelling and apply it in the context of ministry and business.
“The idea is very simple. For the last 8 years, the Visual Story Network has been engaging storytellers and equipping the world of ministry on how to better tell Great Commission stories. So, now, we are taking this learning and using it to help visionary leaders create a culture of story inside each of their own organizations,” says Clyde Taber, Executive Director of Visual Story Network.
“Creating a Culture of Story” seminar is open to leaders of churches, ministries and businesses for a unique one-day event in Los Angeles where participants will engage in how to use story to reach, teach, and lead their staff, constituents and followers. Each participant will leave with a customized five-point plan on how to integrate story into the culture and heart of their organization’s mission.
Presenters at this event on Thursday, November 13, at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, include author and speaker Phil Cooke (Unique, Branding Faith), screen writer and producer Brian Bird (When Calls the Heart, Touched By An Angel) and Jeremy Casper (Los Angeles Film Studies). Topics include “Ten Laws of Story,” “Your Story is Your Brand” and “Story and Your Hard-to-Reach-Audience.” In addition, TED-style presentations will be interspersed with discussions and next-step planning segments.
Taber continues, “Story is at our core as people. It’s hardwired into our DNA. Every organization’s impact will be hampered if you don’t know how to tell a relevant and cohesive story in this age of marketing and digital chaos. It could be said, ‘who has the best story wins,’ but in reality, ‘who tells the best story wins.’”
