Dr. Adam will begin seeing patients at VRC's Hauppauge, Riverhead, Shirley, and Great Neck locations starting June 1, 2026, expanding access to specialized retinal care for patients across the Tri-State Area.

Dr. Adam earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics before transitioning to healthcare and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He went on to complete his residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. Then, Dr. Adam pursued advanced subspeciality training, completing a rigorous two-year medical and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Adam has contributed to numerous clinical research studies, authored peer-reviewed publications, and presented his work at national scientific meetings. He is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association.
With Dr. Adam joining the team, Vitreoretinal Consultants of NY is expanding access to specialized retinal care for patients throughout the region. The top priority of the practice has always been, and will continue to be, the protection and preservation of vision.
