PALM CITY, Fla., Oct. 19, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Soccer SaaS Company Dedicated to Combatting Pay-for-Play in US Youth Soccer Gets Huge Boost
Newly Formed 'Trouble Man' Opts for Innovative Soccer Company as First Investment Partner
ViUS Technologies has announced a $5,000,000 funding partnership committed to product innovation for combatting pay-for-play in youth soccer. A newly formed Trouble Man fund dedicated to investing in technology purposed to strengthen the US Youth Soccer Development Pyramid has tapped the young company for its first investment and further R & D. The technology platform currently boasts over 10,000 youth players licensed to the software which focuses on peer-to-peer transactions outside of club registration to raise scholarship funds.
This year alone, ViUS will onboard an expected 40,000 new players which is already agreed and more expected in the pipeline. The exploratory investment will go into further development of their Gen1 product as well as taking Gen2 into Beta. Together, ViUS and the Trouble Man fund plan to change the business model of youth soccer clubs in the United States to systematically eradicate the financial barriers for underprivileged communities while also strengthening the financial position of grassroots youth clubs nationwide.
Founders of ViUS Technologies Christopher Corey & Sean Flynn say that this new funding partnership is a great step to implementing true accessibility to youth soccer in the United States, 'Our software product generates scholarship revenues that are not one-off donations or band aids, they are systematic solutions that grow with the club.' said Christopher Corey. Co-Founder Sean Flynn credits all the work that ViUS Technologies has done so far, 'We are a three-year old company that has been in the trenches of youth soccer clubs solving very difficult problems, we have been steadfast in our commitment to reversing the impact of pay-for-play on the US youth soccer pyramid.'
Tasked with overseeing the technology initiatives at ViUS for Trouble Man is Terry Hillery, a veteran of the startup space and regional emeritus referee. 'ViUS has the potential to unlock an industry that no one was looking at, coupled with the social impact mission of the company, the upside is tremendous.' He continued by adding that the message is as powerful as the work, 'You hear people talk about inclusivity in sport, but when you see solutions that truly accomplish the mission, the message becomes more powerful.' The group now leading ViUS also realizes the importance of urgency and the window of opportunity they have to accomplish the company mission.
With the World Cup coming to the United States in 2026, the company has set aggressive inclusivity goals to align with the run up to 2026. Driven by this timeline, ViUS continues to grow in size and reputation in the space. 'The opportunity for change in youth soccer is now because of World Cup 2026, we will not see another window like this for 20 years.' said Christopher Corey.
About ViUS Technologies - Founded by two soccer executives Christopher Corey and Sean Flynn, ViUS stands for Vertically Integrate US Soccer. Both Christopher and Sean are soccer parents and witnessed first-hand the lack of inclusivity in their local clubs and how it subtracts from the experience of the sport for all kids. The company is comprised of professionals in the community with expertise in innovative software products and youth soccer.
