SAN JOSE, Calif., April 16, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Vocareum, an education technology software company, today announced that the company is making their virtual lab environments available to the Global COVID-19 Relief Coalition (GCRC) Hackathon, led by scientists and entrepreneurs at Cornell University, Stanford University Healthcare Innovation Lab, and RoundGlass, and in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The Global COVID-19 Relief Coalition is a federally approved 501 c 3 public charity and is a project of The Giving Back Fund. The GCRC Hackathon is crowdsourcing solutions from people globally in an effort to help develop and deploy technology that could help address the novel coronavirus pandemic and mitigate its effects. Through this collaborative effort, Vocareum and GCRC will be offering hackathon teams with support and technology to prototype, test and implement their solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. AWS is funding this activity with $180,000 towards in-kind credits.
