Vocus CEO "Sleeps Out" to Fight Youth Homelessness

(NASDAQ: VOCS), a leading provider of cloud-based marketing software and consulting services, today announced that Vocus Chief Executive Officer Rick Rudman will sleep outside to help combat the growing epidemic of youth homelessness. “Sleep-Out to Support Homeless Youth” is a national Covenant House initiative that encourages business leaders to raise money and awareness for homeless children.
“Every kid deserves a safe place to sleep,” said Rudman. “It is heart-wrenching to think about all the young people with nowhere to call home. I'm sleeping outside to help make sure that doors are open for all who need them. This is a great cause, and I'm proud to be part of it alongside my fellow business leaders.”
Covenant House was founded more than 40 years ago with the mission to help homeless children. Today, the nonprofit organization is the largest privately funded agency in the Americas providing food, shelter, immediate crisis care and essential services to more than 50,000 at risk and homeless youth in 21 cities throughout the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Rudman’s dedication to Covenant House and America’s homeless youth mirrors Vocus’ philanthropic culture. The company donates both time and money to nonprofit organizations each year and is currently organizing volunteer and donation drives through its Manila office for the typhoon-hit Philippines.
