VoiceVibes Unveils Study Showing the Science Behind the Sales Pitch at ATD International Conference & Expo
BALTIMORE (PRWEB) May 20, 2019 -- VoiceVibes, Inc., an automated coaching tool that empowers sales readiness and leadership development by helping people to sound more natural and polished when they speak, announced today its research findings that indicate the connection between voice characteristics (vibes) and sales. The key finding showed that the captivating vibe is the preeminent “vibe” to emit during a pitch as it is most likely to result in a sale.
The software company, recently named a “Cool Vendor” by Gartner Inc., is sharing the results of the study in conjunction with the ATD International Conference & Expo. VoiceVibes’ Founder and CEO, Debra Cancro, will be onsite at Booth #2337 speaking to the study and demonstrating the AI-based communications software at the show, held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC on May 19-22, 2019.
VoiceVibes’ research team analyzed over 133 thousand responses as raters listened to over 2,000 audio clips of male and female speech samples. The human listeners had scored each audio sample on 20 characteristics, referred to as vibes, such as dynamic, assertive, confident, persuasive, clear, arrogant, authentic, personable, pushy, condescending, etc. Additionally, raters were asked whether they would buy a product from the person they had heard. From there, the effect of vibe characteristics was determined in terms of their impact on the respondent's willingness to buy from the person speaking.
The Results:
Captivation is critical when it comes to selling.
- There is a 10 fold increase in willingness to buy when it comes to the captivating vibe--when speakers are perceived as extremely captivating, willingness to buy is 83%.
- When the captivating vibe was extremely apparent, respondents say they believe in the speaker 96% of the time.
- When it comes to selling, arrogant is better than boring. Willingness to buy towards an extremely arrogant vibe is 20%; however, for an extremely boring vibe, it drops to a mere 6%.
- People were over 13 times more likely to say they want to buy from a person when they rated their voice as extremely confident versus not at all confident.
“We are thrilled to share our latest findings with the training and development industry, many of whom will be at the ATD Conference,” said Debra Cancro, Founder and CEO of VoiceVibes. “Through our automated speech coaching platform, we enable training professionals to equip their sales teams with objective feedback to raise self-awareness, guide trainees adjust their behavior for better sales outcomes and reach their full potential when it comes to sales readiness.”
