Volunteer Bartender Positions Open for Fremont Oktoberfest
SEATTLE (PRWEB) August 17, 2018 -- Like free beer? Volunteer beer pourers and greeters are needed to help produce the 22nd Annual Fremont Oktoberfest, September 21-23, 2018 in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. In exchange for working a four-hour session, volunteers can enjoy the festival as a guest with free admission after their shift or on another day.
Volunteers receive free admission to the festival plus 7 beer tokens, a free Oktoberfest shirt, a fun activity to do with friends or family, and satisfaction of giving back to the Fremont neighborhood. Fremont Oktoberfest is a benefit for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, funding local schools, art groups, community events, and promoting Fremont as the “Center of the Universe.”
“Volunteering at Fremont Oktoberfest provides a one-of-a-kind experience to step behind a bar and share amazing craft beer with people,” said John Thorburn, Fremont Oktoberfest marketing director. “The festival thrives with a crew of fun and energetic volunteers that allows us to welcome 20,000 guests to the Fremont neighborhood.”
While drawing from the original Munich Oktoberfest, in true Fremont fashion, Seattle’s Fremont festival puts its own unique “delibertas quirkas” (freedom to be peculiar) twist on tradition combining big beer steins and boots with mini-mugs to sample and enjoy 100 craft beers and ciders from 50 different breweries, spanning two city blocks.
