This large Historical Heritage Estate features beautiful tropical gardens and a rainforest jungle that includes the sacred ancient ruins of the last great Kings of Hawaii's personal gardens. Participants will get to actually walk in the Royal footsteps of the King on his Royal walking and hiking trails. This fun adventure is considered One of Maui's "Best Hikes". It is an easy to medium hike that allows visitors a fun and fascinating two hours in a private, exclusive, wild tropical estate.
Once participants sign up to visit, the entrance fee from supporters helps sponsor their fun tropical gardens estate waterfall hike with an optional Chocolate Tour!
Participants will be able to choose from a few fun Maui hiking adventures at this magical tropical jungle location. Visitors say its where Fern Gully Meets Jurassic Park! Visitors to this private conservation sanctuary also get to see the world's largest prehistoric dinosaur ferns in the ancient cave / water tunnel of Mo'o Kana! As well as the first waterfall on the way to Hana.
For those who don't have time to do the lovely road to Hana drive this is a great alternative, as it is only 30 minutes from the Main Kahului Town & Harbor.
This easy to medium hike is great for families, couples and singles. During this two-hour tour, participants will get to learn about the forest farming taking place at the gardens and lovely chocolate (Cacao) grove. Participants will also get to learn how chocolate goes from the tree to the famous dessert known the world over and get to enjoy an interactive artisan chocolate making workshop.
A friendly 1.5-mile loop will allow visitors to experience an amazing variety of flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species. The garden estate showcases giant rainforest trees, the world largest prehistoric dinosaur ferns, the ancient water cave and tunnel of Mo'o Kana, and they get to enjoy learning about cacao (Chocolate) at their lovely cacao grove. They also get the chance to see the very first waterfall on the way to Hana!
This is a year round fun fundraising event and the charity hopes that they are able to just keeps expanding. So far, they are thrilled with the response from the island visitors and locals alike. One of their directors added, not only are we raising the needed funds to create more wonderful installments, such as an agricultural and cultural learning center, but we continue to draw people in to this this magical location.
All participants who make a donation as their entrance fee will receive a private guided tour with an expert naturalist. Donors can expect insightful commentaries on the natural and cultural history of the area. This knowledge will make the garden estate come alive!
Participants who donate $1,500.00 per person or more, in addition to the entrance fees, become a member of the organization for the year and get to visit the gardens 11 times during the calendar year. In addition, a surprise gift will be included.
Additionally, people who donate an extra $10,000 or more will receive a fun gardens grab bag, as well as the 11 passes to visit the gardens, and will get a mention on the donor page.
Those who donate $50,000 or more will have a plaque erected in the gardens, as well as the 11 visits to the gardens and the fun grab bag, all to honor their contribution to this historical Royal heritage gardens estate.
