During 1Q/2020, DMG Productions (DMG) will explore the history of maple syrup production in North America. DMG will take a look at the innovative technologies being used for maple extraction and will educate about current trends taking place throughout the industry.

This content will appear on two of DMG’s programs, Advancements with Ted Danson (airing via CNBC) and American Farmer (airing Tuesdays @8:30aET on RFD-TV). Check your local listings for more information.

Making Maple Syrup or “sugaring” was originally a way for farmers to supplement their income. Today, it is a multimillion-dollar industry. Both programs will look at the industry and will explore what it takes to produce quality syrup.

Coming up, DMG will explore how The Maple Shop, located in Chester, New Jersey, shares its knowledge and equipment to help others make superior maple syrup, in addition to providing the highest quality syrup and products to its customers.

“Technology and equipment can help u reduce our time in the woods collecting maple sap and can drastically reduce our time in the sugar house making the final product; delicious maple syrup.” Jonathan Rybkiewicz. Owner of The Maple Shop and Red Leaf Hollow Farms.

“The act of producing maple syrup was passed down to North American settlers by Native Americans. Today, it is a trade that lives on, and in many cases, with little-to-no changes,” said Chad Densen, production manager for DMG Productions. “We look forward to exploring more about the industry and how it is changing to fit the times.”
