WatchESPN Now Available to RCN Digital TV Customers
PRINCETON, NJ (PRWEB) August 28, 2014 -- RCN, an industry-leading provider of high-speed Internet, digital TV and phone services, announced today that Digital TV customers can now receive live access to ESPN networks at home or on-the-go via WatchESPN.com and the award-winning WatchESPN app. In time for MLB, college football, plus NFL and NBA regular seasons, customers who receive ESPN's linear networks as part of their RCN Digital TV video subscription can now stream HD-quality programming, live events and associated coverage from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS, SEC Network and more from the convenience of their iOS and Android devices, as well as online.
Customers who enjoy ESPN-branded programming, including popular shows like SportsCenter, PTI, First Take, NFL Live, Baseball Tonight, College GameDay, Mike & Mike in the Morning and others as well as live events from the NFL, MLB, NBA, soccer, tennis, golf, and more, as part of their RCN Digital TV video subscription will now be able to access that same programming through WatchESPN.

The WatchESPN app is free to download and includes a simple user interface that takes the current online viewing experience to HD-quality, multi-touch displays of today’s smartphones and tablets. Once a user downloads WatchESPN, they will receive instructions to enter their MyRCN credentials to access their favorite ESPN content on their device. The WatchESPN app is available free on the iTunes and Google Play App Stores.
The availability of WatchESPN enhances the experience of RCN customers as well as the companies' goal to deliver the best video content to customers across multiple platforms using the latest technology. RCN will also make available all of the content provided through WatchESPN on its TV Everywhere service, RCN2GO powered by TiVo. New "Watch" products from Disney Channel, DisneyXD and Disney Junior are expected to debut to RCN’s Digital TV subscribers in the very near future. Similar to WatchESPN, these authenticated products will be accessible across a variety of platforms and devices both in-home and out-of-the-home.
