Wayne Sensor Hired as CEO of Kolmac Outpatient Recovery Centers

BALTIMORE, Jan. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Effective November 1, 2018, Kolmac Outpatient Recovery Centers has a new chief executive officer: Wayne Sensor has accepted the leadership role following the retirement of former CEO Mark Santangelo. Kolmac is renowned within its Maryland and Washington, D.C. service area – and throughout the recovery community – for creating the first intensive outpatient rehab program for drug and alcohol addiction. Combined with outpatient detox and follow-up continuing care, Kolmac's unique outpatient model has proven extremely effective in treating patients with substance use disorder, without the disruption of an inpatient treatment program.

Sensor brings 30 years of experience as an executive leading large, multisite healthcare organizations. He joins Kolmac after serving as the president of Omaha-based Direct Patient Logistics, the leading provider of patient transfer services in the country. Earlier in his career, he held numerous chief executive positions in hospitals and health systems, including Alegent Health, a 10-hospital system serving Nebraska and Iowa with more than 9,200 staff and 1,200 physicians.

Wayne Sensor is uniquely equipped to support the company in its transition to private equity ownership under New York-based WindRose Health Investors, as he brings valuable private equity partnership experience gained during his work at investor-owned organizations and as a partner and managing director of Leavitt Partners, where he supported the firm's private equity efforts and provided oversight of its hospital business intelligence practice.

Sensor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from the University of Northern Iowa, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Ambrose University.
