Weatherby Energy, LLC Announces the Spud of Bain No. 11W of the Wilson Garvin Prospect
Seguin, Texas (PRWEB) February 07, 2015 -- Richard Gouin, CEO of Weatherby Energy, LLC, (the "Company" or "Weatherby"), announced today that the Company has spud the Bain No. 11W a vertical well in Wilson County, Texas. The Bain No. 11W is the second vertical offset well in a 3 well project, the Wilson Garvin Prospect.
A drilling location was chosen and the survey was obtained prior to the Company receiving the farmout agreement. "The new well will test both the Buda Limestone and Austin Chalk formations for light sweet crude oil at a total depth of roughly 4500 feet," Mr. Gouin stated.
Management anticipates reaching total depth in roughly 7 days to test the Buda Limestone formation. Completion operations should occur the fourth week of Feburary 2015. Once total depth has been reached we will rig down and move immediately to the other offset well on the lease the Bain No. 12w.
“We are very excited about the geological review and the potential oil in reserve; this well is an offset to eight wells on this lease, which have demonstrated great results in the past, producing nearly 700,000 barrels of oil to date.” Mr. Gouin stated.
