Now in its eighth year, the WEGO Health Awards program is the world's first crowdsourced recognition of patients and caregivers who are transforming healthcare and empowering patient communities.
Nominations are open through July 28, 2019, and anyone is welcome to submit. WEGO Health Awards encompass all major social media platforms and feature 15 Best in Show categories, including Best Blog, Best Kept Secret, Lifetime Achievement, and Rookie of the Year.

WEGO Health Awards nominations are crowdsourced through thousands of patients and caregivers who are active in online communities. The WEGO Health Awards are a high-visibility opportunity for Patient Leaders to be recognized for their commitment to helping others and collaborating with the broader healthcare community on a range of patient-centered initiatives.
More than 4,000 patient leaders were nominated in 2018, who in turn garnered more than 33,000 endorsements from their peers in online patient communities. The program has gained widespread recognition globally, as evidenced by the more than 1.7 million people following the WEGO Health Awards Twitter chat in 2018.
The personal impact of the WEGO Health Awards is profound. This year's award winners will be honored at the second annual HLTH Conference in Las Vegas, October 28, 2019, and will receive a $7,000 prize pack that includes:
