I have always been interested in women of the Bible, so the Lord laid upon my heart and mind to do a comparison of biblical women and African-American women of the past and present.

Author Elizabeth P. McCoy shares the results of her research into notable women throughout history in God’s Wisdom from Biblical Women to African-American Women ($14.99, paperback, 9781662804250; $7.99, e-book, 9781662804267).

While writing the thesis for her Master’s degree, McCoy was able to extensively research a number of faithful women and see the impact of their strength on those around them. In this volume, she has compiled the stories of women from the Bible, but also from more modern history including African-American Firsts, members of the “Yes, We Still Can” movement and more distinguished women of today.

“I have always been interested in women of the Bible, so the Lord laid upon my heart and mind to do a comparison of biblical women and African-American women of the past and present. The more I researched, the more I wanted to reveal more of my findings,” said McCoy.

Reverend Elizabeth P. McCoy holds a total of five higher education degrees, including a Master of Theology from the Cedars of Lebanon Bible College and Theological Seminary. She serves as a committee and board member of several organizations, including NC’s Baptist Home and Foreign Ministry Convention, East Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Association and the Person County Ministerial Alliance.
