In the senior living space, a lot of organizations are still tracking data manually with pen and paper. SRK allows Wesley Woods to quickly establish critical KPIs for monitoring and taking action on wellness progress and outcomes.

“SRK allowed us to replicate success stories across the communities, while also being able to show our residents exactly which tests they improved on and by how much, month over month, year over year,” says Samantha Eaves, Corporate Wellness Director.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Wesley Woods is a pioneer in the senior living industry with a family of communities throughout Atlanta and across North Georgia (Athens, Augusta, Blairsville, Newnan) serving over 1,500 residents. Wesley Woods offers independent retirement living, affordable housing and levels of care that allow residents to “transition in place” as their needs change. They chose DrivenBI’s cloud BI platform, SRK, to support their goal of making the retirement experience healthy and fulfilling for older adults of all income levels, races, and faiths.

Zeroing in on critical financial issues, new sales opportunities, etc. are typical reasons for corporations to look to business intelligence solutions to help them get more value out of the data they generate every day.

For Wesley Woods (http://www.wesleywoods.org), as a not-for-profit provider, the goal went beyond that. While finance and operations remained critical, Resident Wellness was an area that saw immediate impact. They had many manual processes and minimal IT support to help them. They sought creative ways to use technology to put in place wellness metrics, identify communities with areas to improve and residents who may be struggling under the radar and uncover more ways to nurture growth in their communities. With SRK, Wesley Woods quickly established critical KPIs for monitoring and taking action on wellness progress and outcomes.

And like their for-profit counterparts, they were also able to quickly streamline their operations, eliminate spreadsheets, saving significant days of manual effort per year. They also saw significant improvement in efficiency of their operations with automated data consolidation and analytics available at their fingertips, all visually easy to understand and accessible on the go. This allowed for more frequent testing for residents, monitoring and analyzing wellness at a corporate level down to individual residents.

“SRK allowed us to replicate success stories across the communities, while also being able to show our residents exactly which tests they improved on and by how much, month over month, year over year,” says Samantha Eaves, Corporate Wellness Director.

With Wellness successfully implemented, Wesley Woods is now looking to analyze their collaborative nurse visits – how many visits an individual resident took advantage of, total time spent per visit, and if these visits lead to less hospitalizing incidents for their residents.

Wesley Woods, together with DrivenBI’s BI technology, achieved their goal; eliminating manual effort to generate reports, creating valuable key metrics, consolidating data for many different areas of the business, and doing it all without IT support.
