The locally owned wine shop, tasting room and gathering place will celebrate its two decades in West Des Moines with a week of special events September 20-26, culminating in a 20th Anniversary Grand Celebration event on Saturday, September 26th from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a grand tasting 40+ wines.

The locally owned wine shop, tasting room and gathering place will celebrate its two decades in West Des Moines with a week of special events September 20-26, culminating in a 20th Anniversary Grand Celebration event on Saturday, September 26th from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a grand tasting 40+ wines.
WineStyles of West Des Moines opened at West Glen Town Center in 2006 and has grown from a specialty wine shop into a destination where guests can discover wine, enjoy a glass with friends, explore craft beer and gourmet foods, attend tastings and classes, celebrate milestones and connect with the community.
For co-owners Andrea and Bryan McGinness, the significance of reaching 20 years goes beyond the business itself. It's the relationships.
"Twenty years ago, we opened WineStyles with a simple idea: wine should be approachable, fun and something people enjoy together," said Andrea McGinness, co-owner of WineStyles West Des Moines. "What we could never have imagined was how many friendships would come from that idea. So many people have shared important moments of their lives with us at WineStyles. That's what we're celebrating the most."
The West Des Moines location has since become the flagship WineStyles location and corporate headquarters for the franchise. WineStyles has also earned recognition in the local hospitality community, including being named Best Bar and Best Wine Shop in the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce's 2025 Best of the West awards. WineStyles also named as one of the Top 100 Retailers by Beverage Dynamics and listed in Entrepreneur's franchising publications.
