On October 13, 2019, West Coast Dental & Orthodontics, the leading provider of adult and children’s dentistry in Southern California, will partner with First African Methodist Episcopal Church Los Angeles, (FAME Church LA) to offer free orthodontic screenings for local children aged 12-17 years old.

On Sunday, October 13 from 9AM - 11AM, West Coast Dental’s Dr. Crawford will provide free braces screenings which will automatically enter each child in for a chance to receive a donated set of braces as a part of West Coast Dental’s Day of Giving.

“I love working with West Coast Dental because of opportunities such as this to get out into the community and provide the oral hygiene services that are so needed by our community,” says Dr. Crawford, resident dentist at the Artesia Children’s Dental Building location. “I look forward to seeing everyone’s smiling faces on Sunday as we perform braces screenings on the ground for those who might not otherwise have access.”

To participate, appointments are not necessary. Patients will be seen at the FAME Church LA located at 2270 S. Harvard Boulevard in Los Angeles from 9AM until 11AM on Sunday, October 13, 2019 on the Plaza Level.

About FAME
First African Methodist Episcopal Church, Los Angeles is the oldest church founded by African Americans in the City of Angels. In 1872 Ms. Biddy Mason received the vision from God to establish a church that would minister to the mind, body and soul of all who would join that small band of believers. That vision and small band of believers has grown to what is now a congregation of more than 19,000 members and several dozen ministries within 13 corporations that bless and reach tens of thousands of seekers in greater metropolitan Los Angeles.

Built on the foundation laid by Bishop Richard Allen who in the City of Philadelphia in 1787 started the movement that later became the African Methodist Episcopal Church, FAME Church finds joy in being the "First To Serve."
