West Monroe Partners Hires Edward Francis as National Life Sciences Industry Leader

Francis has more than 20 years of management consulting experience guiding some of the industry’s most prominent multinational organizations through complex business and technological transformation. Most recently, he was a partner and leader for life sciences strategy, analytics and transformation at IBM Global Business Services.
Francis, based in Chicago, will provide national leadership for the firm’s services and solutions for life sciences clients. He possesses an extensive depth and range of expertise across the domains of life sciences strategy and analytics. Over the course of his career, he has worked with life sciences and healthcare companies of all sizes, including multiple Fortune 500 enterprises.

Francis’s cognitive and advanced analytics expertise spans the disciplines most relevant to today’s life sciences organizations, including real world evidence and patient similarity, physician targeting, clinical trial matching, population health, cognitive pharmacovigilance, cognitive forecasting (financial, supply chain, and business), supply chain network strategy, cognitive issue discovery and resolution, conversation to text, and language concept interpretation. He also has extensive experience developing and executing effective strategy in areas such as enterprise cost transformation, connected health programs, operating model design and next-generation outsourcing, and supply chain strategy and operations.

Francis’s professional experience includes nearly 20 years with Accenture, where he was a partner in the Life Sciences industry, responsible for leading the North America Life Sciences Supply Chain and Supply Chain Planning & Strategy Operations team. He also has extensive plant operations experience and served as a supply officer in the U.S. Navy.
