OCOEE, Fla., May 14, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Yvonne M. Nelson shares how her service to others proved to be her own salvation in Broken to be Healed ($11.49, paperback, 9781662814860; $5.99, e-book, 9781662814877).
Nelson went through a period in her life so dark that she could not see the end. She doubted God to the point of unbelief and felt completely hopeless. Her nursing career was a tiny pinpoint of light in the darkness, giving her a purpose and a distraction from her problems. Through a myriad of experiences, she realized that the healing power of medicine is not enough – we all need the healing that comes from the blood of Jesus Christ
"I was inspired through the individuals that I provided care to over the years. As I watched and learned of their brokenness, I recognized it was not enough healing through medicine or the care I was administering to them. I realized they, so as I myself, needed something more in our life, which was Christ Jesus," said Nelson.
Yvonne M. Nelson was born in Kingston, Jamaica and emigrated to the United States. She joined the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and ultimately pursued both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing. Nelson has two children.
