“As breakthroughs in technology and advances in developmental science shape – and then reshape – how we learn and work, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside visionary entrepreneurs, researchers and investors who are making an impact," said Evo Popoff.

Whiteboard Advisors, an education-focused consulting and communications firm, today announced the addition of Evo Popoff as Senior Vice President. Popoff was named EdTech Policy Maker of the Year by the State Educational Technology Directors Association. He served as Chief Innovation and Intervention Officer for the New Jersey Department of Education. An attorney, Popoff also held senior positions at EdisonLearning, where he oversaw the launch of the company’s education technology solutions and worked closely with states, districts, and schools to implement turnaround, online, and blended learning programs.

“As breakthroughs in technology and advances in developmental science shape – and then reshape – how we learn and work, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside visionary entrepreneurs, researchers and investors who are making an impact,” said Popoff.

For more than fifteen years, W/A clients have included many of the best known brands in K-12 education and the future of work, including Code.org, General Assembly, ISTE, LinkedIn Learning, ClassDojo, and DonorsChoose. The firm’s consulting team provides due diligence support to investors in conjunction with education transactions. Published weekly, Whiteboard Advisors research and commentary has been featured by USA Today, TechCrunch, Bloomberg, and The Washington Post, among others.

Whiteboard Advisors also announced the addition of Jenn Hatfield, who comes to W/A from the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions, where she served as a Research Assistant for both K-12 and higher education policy, and assisted the Committee’s efforts to reauthorize the Higher Education Act. Previously, Hatfield was a research associate in education policy at the American Enterprise Institute.

“Evo and Jenn bring an incredibly unique set of experiences to bear on our work. They understand the complexity of translating new ideas, technologies, or policies into practice,” said Ben Wallerstein, Co-founder and CEO of Whiteboard Advisors. “But most importantly, they share a passion for the social impact mission that animates our work and clients.”
