SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Wine & Spirits Magazine announces the Top 100 Wineries of 2018, showcased in the 32nd Annual Buying Guide published Tuesday, October 9th, 2018. The print edition serves as a program for Wine & Spirits 15th Annual Top 100 Tasting Event, held the same day at City View at METREON in San Francisco. The tasting—a benefit for San Francisco Baykeeper—will honor the year's Top 100 Wineries, including a large number of organic and biodynamic producers whose meticulous farming raised their wines to world-class levels.
"Our Top 100 has changed and evolved over the past 15 years. The wine market in the US has become the largest in the world and Wine & Spirits editors and panelists are tasting more wines than ever—close to 15,500 wines this year alone," says Joshua Greene, editor and publisher of Wine & Spirits Magazine. "The wineries pouring at the Top 100 range from local producers to international stars. It's going to be a remarkable night."
Chefs from the W&S SF50—including notable first-timers Lord Stanley and the Girl & the Fig—will be offering tastes to pair with the wines. And artisan purveyors, such as Island Creek Oysters and Point Reyes Cheese, will offer their own delicious bites.
