SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Wine & Spirits Magazine has unveiled the Top 100 Wineries of 2019, a diverse collection of producers from around the globe, determined by the magazine's exclusive blind-tasting process and celebrated for their exceptional wines. The Top 100 Wineries will be showcased at the 16th Annual Top 100 Tasting Event on Thursday, October 10th at City View at METREON in San Francisco. Chefs from Wine & Spirits SF50 restaurants will be at the event, preparing delicious food to match these remarkable wines.
"We took a different approach to our tasting this year by focusing on specific regions and delving deeper into them," said Joshua Greene, editor of Wine & Spirits Magazine. "Our concentrated tastings led to fiercer competition among the great wines of the world to earn a spot in our Top 100. We're excited to present them at the Top 100 Tasting, alongside chefs from our SF50 restaurants. There's a lot of great wine and food at the event, and we set it up to make it easy for guests to pair them."
Some of the restaurants and purveyors serving bites at the Top 100 event include: A16, A Côté, Absinthe, Acquerello, Atelier Fine Foods, Barndiva, Compline, Journeyman Meat Co, The Oyster Girls, Sour Flour, Tartine Manufactory, Point Reyes Cheese and Verjus.
Tickets to the Wine & Spirits Top 100 are now available for purchase and include a one-year subscription to the publication. Proceeds benefit SF Baykeeper, an advocate for clean water in the local watershed, including the north coast vinelands. To purchase tickets, visit: https://bit.ly/2kqnz9l.
