NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Wine & Spirits Magazine announces the Top 100 Wineries of 2020, a diverse collection of producers from around the globe, honored for their outstanding wines.
Every year, Wine & Spirits tastes thousands of wines through an exclusive blind tasting process and from those tastings, the editors select the wineries that consistently deliver exceptional wines to assemble the Top 100 Wineries of the Year.
"It's been a challenging year for wine retailers to keep up with demand," says Joshua Greene, editor of Wine & Spirits Magazine. "And a challenging year for us to keep up with panel tastings, as well. We were pleased to be able to shepherd 9,200 wines through our blind tasting process, focusing on the categories important to our readers and finding a host of great new releases to share. There is a lot of delicious and compelling wine from the producers in our Top 100."
For 16 years, the Top 100 Tasting in San Francisco has brought together winemakers, importers, distributors, retailers, restaurateurs and wine-savvy consumers for a night of exceptional wine, food and celebration. In 2020, Wine & Spirits will be celebrating the Top 100 wineries with a virtual event: The Top 100 Sessions.
More information on the Top 100 Sessions and how to secure tickets will be announced shortly. Wine & Spirits' Top 100 Sessions are a benefit for Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation, supporting restaurant workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As in the past, the event will also support NY/NJ Baykeeper and San Francisco Baykeeper, working to sustain the health and integrity of the Hudson-River and SF Bay-Area watersheds.
