MENLO PARK, Calif. (PRWEB) January 14, 2019
Wing Venture Capital, the leading early stage venture capital firm focused on technology for business, today announced that Rajeev Chand has joined the firm as Partner and Head of Research.
Rajeev comes to Wing from Rutberg & Company, where he built and led the research and events franchise since 2001. Rajeev co-created the Rutberg summits in 2005, including the flagship Wireless Influencers, and he is well known for heading the summits and interviewing many of the most influential leaders in global business and technology.
Rajeev adds to Wing’s considerable presence and depth. At Wing, Rajeev will drive Wing’s thought leadership, connections, and visibility. He will conduct and present proprietary research, host exclusive summits and meetings, and build and manage a differentiated founder and executive network.
“Research is a core part of Wing’s Founding Ethos of Early Stage, Long Term, and Thesis Driven investing,” said Gaurav Garg, Founding Partner at Wing. “His curiosity, keen instinct for the key questions, talent for persuasion, and proven ability in building networks are a great addition to our DNA at Wing”.
“With Rajeev’s addition, Wing continues to extend its lead as the best-of-breed early stage venture firm focused on technology for business,” said Peter Wagner, Founding Partner at Wing. “Our inaugural Wing Summit on Security in March 2019 evidences the integrated thesis between research and investments.”
The Wing strategy is already bearing fruit in high-growth companies such as Cohesity, Shape Security and Snowflake Computing. Wing has been an investor and active partner to each of these companies since their earliest days. The firm is currently investing its second fund, the $300 million Wing Two.
