AHG's award could be an important step toward renewed stability in Afghanistan, a crucial goal for the U.S. military's 16 year partnership with Afghanistan. AHG employs more than 300 Afghans and utilizes another 800 more for short term support. The base contract term is valid through September 2023, with additional option years through September 2038. GSA Schedules orders are Competition in Contracting Act (CICA) compliant when Federal buyers use FAR Subpart 8.4 ordering procedures, and do not require posting on FedBizOpps.
AHG's GSA Schedule award is a direct result of a complex process in which the General Services Administration evaluated their professional capabilities, organizational structure, performance history, financial statements and customer references, while awarding rates that are "fair and reasonable."
