We’re excited to support new and returning students in discovering what works best for them to thrive in school, and we’ll be here every step of the way to help them reach their unique goals.

Wisconsin Connections Academy (WCA), one of Wisconsin’s first full-time, tuition-free online schools, is now accepting students for the upcoming 2020-21 school year. From now until April 30, parents statewide can register their child in any grade, now including four-year-old kindergarten (4K). Wisconsin Connections Academy operates through the Appleton Area School District so families living outside of this school district are encouraged to complete an Open Enrollment Application via the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Wisconsin Connections Academy is an online public school serving 4K-12 students with the continuous support of experienced teachers and educational resources to ensure a flexible, standards-aligned curriculum tailored to their individual learning preferences. Wisconsin Connections Academy encourages its 500 students to take an independent initiative in learning with guidance from teachers to stay on track and meet the same state standards as traditional school counterparts.

“My daughter Franki started at Wisconsin Connections Academy in 10th grade in order to pursue her singing career in a flexible, supportive environment,” said Kathy Satchek, a Wisconsin Connections Academy parent of 3 years. “Since starting at WCA, Franki has been able to audition for American Idol, sing at Green Bay Packers games, and produce multiple songs about mental health based on her experiences being bullied. She has also been invited to perform at school assemblies across the country and talk to students about her success and the importance of having a positive and kind character.”

Families interested in learning more about Wisconsin Connections Academy are invited to attend information sessions to see how WCA can meet their unique needs, connect with school staff and meet local families pursuing a 4K-12 online education for their child. Parents can also participate in parent-led online meetings to speak directly with currently enrolled families. For a full list of Wisconsin Connections Academy events, visit our events page.

“Every year, we’re seeing Wisconsin Connections Academy students benefit academically, socially and personally from learning in their own environment,” said Michelle Mueller, Wisconsin Connections Academy Principal. “We’re excited to support new and returning students in discovering what works best for them to thrive in school, and we’ll be here every step of the way to help them reach their unique goals.”

The open enrollment period runs from February 3 to April 30, 2020. Learn more at http://www.WisconsinConnectionsAcademy.com/Enroll or call 920-993-7076.
