We need a vision for our world, a path forward for how we can mindfully engage in politics, heal from trauma, use technology wisely, and authentically connect with others.
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) February 27, 2019
For ten years, the annual Wisdom 2.0 Summit has gathered people from the international community to explore ways to live more mindfully and thoughtfully in the modern era. Wisdom 2.0 2019 will be held March 1 - 3 at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco. Talks from the mainstage will be livestreamed at http://www.wisdom2conference.com.
Featuring multiple stages and over 50 speakers, Wisdom 2.0 2019 will bring together thousands of people from around the world for an event that is part conference, part festival, part idea generator. The programming combines mainstage sessions, focused breakouts, and interactive or practice based sessions, as well as parties, dinners, and informal opportunities to meet like-minded people. Speakers include Chelsea Handler, Jack Kornfield, Michael Pollan, Spring Washam, Aalayah Eastmond, and many more.
The Wisdom 2.0 community is dedicated to mindfulness and authentic connection, focused on waking up to what really matters. This year's conference theme is the need to define a path forward during these tumultuous times, with sessions including “Mindfulness and Trauma: Embodied Practices for Collective Liberation,” and “The Power of Love: The Road to Healing in Parkland, Florida.” See the full schedule of sessions at wisdom2conference.com/schedule.
“So many systems today are in flux, from the political to the economic. Yet this time of turmoil is also inviting us to ask, ‘What kind of systems do we want to create that support the world we want to live in?’,” says conference founder Soren Gordhamer. “We need a vision for our world, a path forward for how we can mindfully engage in politics, heal from trauma, use technology wisely, and authentically connect with others.”
At Wisdom 2.0, fostering presence and connection among attendees is as important as the mainstage presentations and sessions. The event will include an Embodiment Lounge, sponsored by the Strozzi Institute; and the Fetzer Institute returns to sponsor the Wisdom Village, an expansive, interactive space that will house the Q & A Stage and provide space to mix, mingle, rest and connect.
Finally, it wouldn’t be Wisdom 2.0 without a great dance party. The 10-year anniversary party will be held on Saturday night at the Folsom Street Foundry. Attendees will enjoy various elixirs & libations, tasty tapas, art installations, ecstatic DJ sets, surprise performances, and interactive games at this quintessentially San Franciscan venue.
