SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) October 17, 2019
A23 Advisors, the award-winning consulting firm built by travel industry mompreneurs and digital nomads, today announced reaching several company milestones. Known for scaling and operationalizing startups and corporate innovation projects, A23 Advisors is successfully bringing the gig-economy to travel tech, hospitality, wellness, entertainment, and e-commerce.
Series A and bootstrapped startups need expert talent but may not be ready to hire. A23 Advisors offers a simple solution: outsource any role, project or department to them.
Since its founding in 2015, A23 Advisors has signed 30 clients across travel tech, hospitality, wellness, entertainment, and e-commerce. In 2019 alone, the firm grew their travel tech client base by 114% and supported four separate clients in successful funding events.
In the last 18 months, A23 Advisors has grown from three founders to 10 highly skilled consultants across their Business Operations, Commercial Development, Strategic Marketing, and Thought Leadership practices. Each consultant brings a minimum of 10 years of experience in their key practice, and at least five years in travel tech, hospitality, wellness, entertainment, and e-commerce.
The team has also built an extension community, Women in Travel Tech (WiTT), which is an intimate peer-to-peer forum for senior industry executives. The second annual invitation-only WiTT conference will be held this December in Park City, Utah.
“A23 Advisors offers unique value to fast-growing travel, hospitality, and e-commerce businesses,” said Pete Van Dorn, travel startup founder and investor. “They’re an A-team of executives and senior practitioners across operations, commercial and marketing functions who bring the depth of experience required to navigate the complex and rapidly-changing travel technology landscape.”
Several consultants from A23 Advisors will be guest panelists in the upcoming session, “Resilience in the Age of Digital Nomads: Curating Virtual Practices, Projects and Personal Experience” for Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies. The session will be held on October 30, 2019.
A23 Advisors founder Cady Wolf will participate in the Phocuswright Women’s Leadership Initiative as a LeadHER mentor at the Phocuswright Conference on November 19-21, 2019. Wolf also serves as an advisor to travel tech incubator Voyager HQ.
In July, Serenity Thompson, head of the A23 Advisors Strategic Marketing practice, was accepted into Forbes Agency Council, an invitation-only community for owners of and executives in successful public relations, media strategy, creative, and advertising agencies.
“We are honored to welcome A23 Advisors into the community,” said Scott Gerber, founder of Forbes Councils, the collective that includes Forbes Agency Council. “Our mission with Forbes Councils is to bring together proven leaders from every industry, creating a curated, social capital-driven network that helps every member grow professionally and make an even greater impact on the business world.”
Recognition and validation
A23 Advisors earned the prestigious Gold status in the 2019 Golden Bridge Awards for Company of the Year in Hospitality, Travel, Recreation, and Leisure.
“It’s an honor to be named a Gold winner by the Golden Bridge Awards committee and to be recognized by our peers for our work in the industry,” said Lindsey Hayford, head of the A23 Advisors Business Operations practice. “These awards are a testament to A23 Advisors’ commitment to building, growing and supporting a healthy travel and hospitality ecosystem.”
A23 Advisors was also one of the winners in the 2019 Women World Awards in the Most Innovative Company of the Year category. The coveted annual Women World Awards program encompasses the world’s best in leadership, innovation, organizational performance, new products, and services from every major industry in the world.
“A23 Advisors fills the gap in what travel tech, hospitality, wellness, entertainment, and e-commerce companies need from their workers, and what today’s workforce actually wants,” says Thompson. “To companies, we provide motivated, innovative, high performing experts in their respective fields who offer flexible availability, from fractional to full-time work. In exchange, our consultants are able to use their skills and talents on projects they love while enjoying a range of flexibility for travel, family, passion projects, and side hustles.”
