LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., Oct. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Women of Global Change (WGC) is excited to announce its expansion into Africa with five new WGC chapters in Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Led by the WGC African Continental Executive, Precious Namazzi, WGC looks to make an immediate social impact with each of these chapters. As of September 3rd, WGC officially launched these new African regions and welcomed the arrival of new Chapter Presidents: Mary Muthoni (Kenya), Chinyere Anokwuru (Nigeria), Becky Nsubuga (Uganda), Maggie Indopu (Zambia), and Mentle Ncube (Zimbabwe). Already, these servant leaders have formed their committees and begun collaborating with existing organizations in their countries in pursuit of positive progress and change for women, children, and those affected by poverty and Covid-19.
"I am so humbled and honored to stand with these incredible servant leaders. It has been a dream of mine for many years to share WGC in Africa. With previous chapters launched in Toronto, Canada, Cadiz, Spain and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this past year, the opportunity to expand into Africa is even more of a blessing. Today there is so much need in the world and the hard work of our current staff and new Chapter Presidents have brought upon us the privilege to serve on another continent." - WGC Founder Dame Shellie Hunt.
WGC Las Vegas Chapter President Crystal White elaborated on this statement saying, "As the Women of Global Change, we are extremely excited and humbled by the opportunity to expand our impact, especially during a time like this, where challenges are abundant. Our African chapters may be new, but make no mistake; the amazing ladies leading these chapters are already making change in their communities.
