Women’s Health and Hormones Take Spotlight with Expert Consensus for Female Testosterone Therapy: Full-Day Session at Age Management Medicine Group Conference in November
Naples, FLA (PRWEB) September 28, 2017 -- Men’s hormone therapy, from testosterone use to cardiovascular and sexual health, may get major press, but that is about to change. The Age Management Medical Group (AMMG)—presenter of the CME-accredited "23rd Clinical Applications in Age Management Medicine Conference"—is balancing the equation with a full-day focus on Women’s Health and Hormones, which includes its cornerstone lecture, "Consensus Panel Guidelines for the Use of Testosterone in Women."
Spearheaded by Dr. Gary Donovitz, a 20-year innovator of bioidentical hormone therapy, the Consensus Panel’s ten resolutions on testosterone use in women’s health reflect the unanimous approval of an expert consortium, representing a range of medical specialties, from obstetrics and gynecology to endocrinology, internal medicine, and urology. The endeavor is a kindred response to the work of Dr. Abraham Morgentaler—a recognized authority on men’s health—and the nine resolutions of his international expert panel that confronted the controversies and misinformation of testosterone use in men.
“Women’s health and hormone treatment plans are at the center of our changing medical landscape. New evidence-based approaches, research findings, and emerging sciences are being introduced at every turn. Physicians need to stay informed and well versed or they’ll fall behind,” said Greg Fillmore, AMMG Conference Chairman/Cofounder.
Noted leaders in women’s health are presenting at the full-day session:
"Consensus Panel Guidelines for Use of Testosterone in Women"
Gary Donovitz, M.D., FACOG, FRSM
"Testosterone Therapy and Hormonal Balance in Women: A n-of-1 Approach"
Florence Comite, M.D.
"Women’s Sexual Health"—one of AMMG’s highest-rated lectures
Anna Cabeca, D.O., FACOG, ABAARM
"Your Hormones and Breast Cancer, Friend or Foe?"
Gary Donovitz, M.D., FACOG, FRSM
"Subcutaneous Hormone Pellet Therapy: Alternative Medicine or Alternative to Bad Medicine and a Fascinating Way to Help Patients"
Gary Donovitz, M.D., FACOG, FRSM
"Comprehensive Clinical Age Management Evaluation for Women"
Cesar M. Pellarano, M.D.
"Appropriate Prescribing Hormone Replacement Therapy in Women with CAD or at risk for CAD"
George C. Shapiro, M.D., FACC
"Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation"
Johnny J. Peet, M.D.
"Abnormal Uterine Bleeding"
G. DeAn Strobel, M.D., FACOG
A full-day preconference track —"Introduction to Hormone Optimization"— complements the Women’s Health and Hormones session. The track’s lectures reacquaint physicians with the basics of hormone therapy (men and women) and expand their understanding of interventional endocrinology, per the context of clinical Age Management Medicine.
“AMMG’s conferences are for physicians exploring our medical specialty—and for experienced Age Management Medicine physicians. Each event delivers the tools and strategies physicians can use immediately in their practices,” said Rick Merner, AMMG Executive Director/Cofounder.
Per Merner, AMMG also offers physicians a multidisciplinary training-and-certification course in Age Management Medicine, earning 82 AMA PRA Credits—as well as an AMMG Professional Membership, which includes exclusive discounts and access to a members-only site section, where they can consult Age Management Medicine experts.
The JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa is the new venue for AMMG’s November conference. Set in the Sonoran Desert, the resort offers healthy lifestyle activities that mirror the Age Management Medicine approach: hiking, running, jogging/fitness trail, mountain biking trail, nature preserve trail, golfing, and swimming.
