Simply Meg’s to Host Benefit for Haitian Mission Teams

Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) November 18, 2013 -- Simply Meg's of Greensboro, NC is hosting a benefit evening of shopping from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 for mission teams going to Haiti in January, 2014 from two local churches in the area: Grace United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC and Front Street United Methodist Church in Burlington, NC.

Half of the proceeds from the evening will go to the mission work being done in Haiti by these two teams. In addition there will be drawings at the end of the evening for additional gifts from the shop. We hope that you will come out and support this worthy cause on behalf of our community.

Meg Strader, owner of Simply Meg's, will be making her third trip to Haiti with this group in January. The work that these groups will be doing is affiliated with Mission of Hope, located just north of Port au Prince in Haiti. Established in 1998, Mission of Hope houses an onsite orphanage, medical facility, school and church on its campus. Through partnerships, they also serve other orphanages, schools and churches throughout the country of Haiti. Mission of Hope is dedicated to transforming lives of all people in Haiti by meeting their spiritual, educational and physical needs, as well as working towards long-term improvement in a country with very few resources.
