Edmonton Home Builder Rohit Communities Introduces New Safety Program
Edmonton, AB (PRWEB) April 04, 2014 -- Rohit Communities is on a mission to improve safety on new home construction sites among their employees and trade partners. Taking a refreshing new approach, Rohit has provided incentive to catching people working safe. The ‘Caught Working Safe!’ program is meant to encourage safe work procedures and practices at every stage of construction, this innovative program allows workers and organizations that constantly exercise safety the opportunity to benefit from it.
The ‘Caught Working Safe!’ program operates on a very simple concept - get caught working safe, and have the opportunity to be sent to Las Vegas by Rohit Communities. Every time a worker is caught working safe by a site supervisor or safety officer, they are given a numbered and tracked “Caught Working Safe” sticker to place on their hardhat. When four stickers are collected, the worker is entered in a draw for the free flights and accommodations for their Las Vegas trip. With so many opportunities to be noticed, safe workers will find themselves easily getting recognition from others in the field.
Rohit Communities has seen an increase in safe work practices since the program first launched 3 months ago and recognition across the industry has developed, with other home builders showing an interest in getting on board. “The reception of the program has been incredible,” explained Sander Van Ingen, Safety Officer for Rohit Communities, “Workers on site have really bought into the program, from Rohit Site Superintendents who are handing out the stickers, to our trade partners and their employees.”
The free trip will be awarded twice a year via an exciting live draw, where both the top 5 trade partners and individual employees that practiced safe work will also be recognized. The first Las Vegas trip was awarded last Friday, March 28th, 2014 to Daniel Derewlanka, an electrician from Outland Electric.
