"The efforts to rebuild Working Wardrobes over the last two years has been nothing short of heroic, and echoes the driving spirit that Founder Jerri Rosen possessed each day of her 31-year tenure leading this nonprofit," said CEO Bonni Pomush. "The community helped us rebuild two facilities, fill them with goods to support our programs, and provide invaluable training resources to the out-of-work community. Working Wardrobes supporters have a resilient mindset and are dedicated to making the organization's 2nd 31 years truly extraordinary."
Despite losing nearly all of its physical possessions in the early morning fire on Super Bowl Sunday two years ago, Working Wardrobes, with the help of countless community members, began implementing online career workshops that started with attendees from Southern California but quickly expanded across the country, with local business leaders providing critical professional skills training to thousands.
"The pandemic crippled our workforce, and as we embark on this next chapter of Working Wardrobes, there are lives to help change through empowerment," said Pomush."We are steadfast in our efforts to help individuals overcome barriers with dignity, and experience the Power of a Paycheck."
